Below is the recipe for Kala chana rice-


1 cup cooked rice

1/4 cup of uncooked Kala Chana

2 big tomatoes

Whole spices : 

1 moti elaichi

2 black cloves

2 black peppers

The small piece of cinnamon

1 tej patta

Garnish: Fresh coriander

Salt to taste

Few drops of lemon juice

A small portion of salad of your choice



Step 1

Prepare one cup of cooked white rice by boiling it into two cups of water in a pan. Once boiled, drain the excess water through a sieve.

Step 2

Soak Kala chana preferably overnight or at least for 4-5 hours. Pressure cook Kala chana for 45 minutes on medium heat. Chop and puree the tomatoes. Take all spices and coarsely ground them. To the chana, add tomato puree, ground spices, salt and lemon juice to taste. Serve with chopped coriander as garnish.
